Christ Worldwide is a Non-Denominational Christian based church that believes in the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. It is our goal to carry out and effectively fulfill the Great Commission given to the Church (His followers or disciples) by our Lord Jesus Christ in Matthew 28:18-20, Mark 16:15-20; Luke 24:44-48, John 21:15-17 and Acts 1:1-4,8.
We will preach, teach and baptize with water baptism and in the baptism of the Holy Ghost and with fire, with the evidence of speaking in other tongues (our heavenly language), that we may boldly go forth in the earth as witnesses for Jesus Christ (Acts 4:29-33).
While serving as Assistant Pastor of Christ Worldwide (formally known as Jesus Church) in Dayton, Ohio, Theron Brown Sr. was commissioned to oversee a sister church in Florence, Alabama. With a mandate to elevate the ministry to its next level of glory and implement a vision that God had placed within him, he would take the eight-hour journey from Dayton to Florence every week. After a season of travelling, in 2002, Theron Brown Sr. relocated his family to Florence, AL.
At the time, the church was located on Veterans Drive and the membership was about 20 members strong. In just a short season, the ministry began to grow tremendously. It became noticeable that we had outgrown the current facility physically and spiritually. In 2006, God blessed Christ Worldwide to purchase the building (The Christ Dome) that we currently occupy.
The purchasing of the Christ Dome was the fulfillment of a prophecy prophesied by Bishop Scott, before Bishop Brown’s transition to Alabama. Shortly following the move to the new facility, Pastor Brown received his ordination as Bishop. In loving support, his wife Tracy L. Brown walks beside him in ministry serving as Co- Pastor.
Through the years, God continually blesses and increases the Christ Worldwide family. We are exceedingly glad about the move of God in the Shoals area and will continue to strive to impact the lives of God’s people through the word of God and the manifestation of His power.
